Bass virtuoso Domas Aleksa returns with TRIPPIN’ – an energetic, genre-blending musical journey created together with Berlin-based neo-soul vocalist Nnaji. Released in 2023, the album brings together a wide range of musical styles – from neo-soul and jazz to rock and hip-hop inviting listeners into a vibrant, unpredictable, and emotionally charged sonic experience.
This is a mature project shaped by extensive international experience. D. Aleksa is one of Lithuania’s leading bass players, having performed at over 50 prestigious festivals across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. His work is defined by a constant exploration of genres and new musical forms. His previous albums have been presented in Belgium, Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom, and beyond, and now – after a longer break- he returns to the international stage with a new program.
In Lithuania, TRIPPIN’ has already been showcased at major jazz festivals and concert venues, each time revealing itself differently as a living, ever-evolving musical narrative. On stage, a powerful and charismatic lineup comes together: multi-instrumentalist Liutauras Janušaitis, guitarist Robertas Semeniukas, and one of the most active drummers on the Lithuanian jazz scene, Augustas Baronas.
TRIPPIN’ is more than a concert – it is a musical journey across genres, cities, and experiences, where improvisation, contemporary sound, and the raw energy of live performance come together.
